​Treasurer
​As ‘Bean-Counter’, Phillippa keeps track of the revenue/expenses of our Victoria FCA Chapter.   She took on this position in April 2023, following Barb Springer who served for seven years before her.  

Treasurer Duties

• Record income as it comes in (memberships, workshops and exhibition fees)
• Record expenses as they are paid (exhibitions, workshops, meetings or the general administration of our Chapter)
• Send receipts to members
• Balance bank statements and update the Board at meetings
• Pay bills as they arrive (insurance, Arts BC, etc)
• Maintains the financial records of the FCA Victoria, including bank balances and preparing income/expense reports for each Board meeting or at the request of the President or committee chairs
• Pays all approved expenses such as rental of room at Cedar Hill Rec Centre, gallery space, workshop artists, etc.and deposits all income from any source
• Oversees the two bank accounts at RBC and the PayPal Account. 
• Knowledge of Excel, Paypal and e-transfer would be an asset, however Barb is willing to mentor anyone willing to volunteer for this position

The Treasurer job takes  2 to 4 hours per month.  Reconciling bank statements takes approximately an hour or so, responding to emails and questions, writing cheques and making bank deposits  is random time spent. The Treasurer is also expected to attend monthly executive meetings.
