Signature Members
About Associate and Signature Memberships
Once you've established yourself as a committed artist with consistent, superior ability you can apply for your Associate or Signature status. There are two levels of signature status, the AFCA (Associate) status, and SFCA (Signature) status. Standards are very high for these levels of membership and jurying is done once a year in Vancouver, applications are due in February.

Associate Signature Membership
Associate Members, in addition to the benefits of Active Members, are granted permission to use the letters AFCA after their names and are eligible to enter the annual Spilsbury Medal Show. With recognition comes responsibility. Associate Signature Members are expected to maintain a consistently high standard of work and to perform “jury” duty for the FCA on an as needed basis.

Senior Signature Membership
Senior Signature Members are granted permission to use the letters SFCA after their names and are eligible to enter the Spilsbury Medal Show. Senior Signature Members, in addition to being expected to maintain a consistently high standard of work and participate in various forms of “jury” duty, are also asked to participate in the annual Board of Governors jurying and are strongly urged to serve on the Board of Governors, if possible.
