How to Apply for Exhibiting Membership with Federation of Canadian Artists
If you’re an artist who is interested in participating in juried shows and honing your skills, then perhaps you’re ready to apply to become an Exhibiting member. To be eligible for Exhibiting status, applicants need to join the Federation of Canadian Artists as a Supporting Member first. There is no waiting period required between joining as a Supporting Member and applying for Exhibiting Status. You may apply for Exhibiting status once your Supporting Membership registration is completed.
To apply for Exhibiting status, you will be required to submit a digital "portfolio" of your artwork; that is, 8 to 10 digital images that would meet FCA standards for exhibition. Your images will be juried by the national organization through the Vancouver headquarters of the FCA.
To learn more about applying for Exhibiting Status, or to start the application process, go to the FCA website at: https://artists.ca/membership_chapters/exhibiting_status
If you are already a Supporting Member of the Victoria Chapter, and have questions about applying for Active status, please feel free to chat with one of our Executive members.
