Art Avenue Liaison (Note: This position is currently open)
Art Avenue Magazine is the Federation of Canadian Artists' membership magazine. It is published six times per year and its audiences include consultants, agents, collectors and every member of the Federation of Canadian Artists.
Art Avenue is always looking to share special news from members--for instance, an award, a big commission or significant show not related to the FCA. We encourage you to submit directly to the Federation of Canadian Artists. You can find more information about member submission guidelines here.
The Art Avenue Liaison is here to advise chapter members who are submitting Art Avenue news to ensure they meet submission guidelines and the word limit for chapter submissions. As well, the Art Avenue Liaison can submit news from upcoming chapter exhibitions and report on the exhibition shows and awards. With space permitting, we can include newsworthy accomplishments of our members or selected articles from the local chapter newsletter, "The Grapevine". If you have questions or news to share please feel free to email [email protected].
This position works with the other members of the chapter's board, including the Grapevine editor. It's an excellent opportunity meet colleagues and learn about their accomplishments, share their excitement, and connect with the FCA's Art Avenue editor and team in Vancouver. You are invited to attend monthly meeting of the board, but your attendance is not mandatory.
We thank Rose Tanner for her many years of working with the Board as Art Avenue Liaison and Board Secretary. Rose has kindly offered to assist anyone interested in the Art Avenue Liaison role.
