About Victoria FCA ZOOM Meetings
The Zoom meeting we wish we could host...
Okay, we're dreaming. And Zoom meetings are, well, not the same as in-person meetings. We get it. We would rather have our monthly meetings in person too.
But during this time of COVID, Victoria Chapter FCA has shifted to online and ZOOM (internet video conferencing) presentations. This has been a learning experience for everyone, but it lets us keep our monthly meetings intact. We have now refined our format to have our presentations run about an hour in length, give or take!
A wonderful bonus to these Zoom meetings is that we often see the presenter’s art studio. In Mel Williamson’s studio, for example, we learned about some unusual artist supplies and her smart organizational tips. And although Ben Eastabrook’s studio is squeezed into his apartment, he still manages to produce large pieces of art and sculpture in a variety of mediums! Zoom also offers an opportunity to submit questions prior to or during the presentation so it is still similar to our in-person meetings.
Zoom meetings will continue on the 3rd Thursday of every month until Covid restrictions end. We hope we might be back meeting in-person at Cedar Hill Recreation Centre soon.
