Face to Face: Live Portrait Painting
with guest model Ed Bain
In a special community event during our Fall 2025 Exhibition and presented by the Federation of Canadian Artists and Arts and Culture Colwood, three talented FCA artists — Ken Falks SFCA, Clement Kwan SFCA, and Cove Silas — painted none other than local radio & TV personality Ed Bain!
Our objective was to bring the appreciation and love of portrait painting to the community, and judging by the positive and enthusiastic response from the 50 or more onlookers, it was a success! Ed enjoyed the experience and the artists produced three beautiful oil sketches.
Thank you to Goldfinch Arts Centre and their gallery facilities, and to Stephanie Webb for organizing. Kathleen Manning found our great sitter, and Gord Smith MC'd the event. And thank you to all who attended!
